1995-1997: A Test of Resilience
Amidst spirited competition and fluctuating tourist interest, our journey faced challenges. We breathed new life into our designs by transitioning to an antique pewter finish and drawing inspiration from Asian and Western cultures, reflecting our family's dedication to creativity and craftsmanship.
1990s: Global Horizons & Resilience
Guided by our familial bonds, we ventured abroad, connecting with Etain Du Manoir, a historic French pewter producer. Through the challenges, like the IMF turmoil, we expanded, steadfast in our commitment to meeting both global and local demands.
2005: Persistence & Triumph
Our story took an exciting turn as we collaborated with the Thai Ministry of Trade Authority, leading us to global opportunities. At Maison Object, Paris, fate connected us with Etain Du Manoir, a company with centuries of history in fine pewter tableware and accessories. Exploring their booth ignited the evolution of our craft. We carefully studied and adopted their techniques, reaching the pinnacle of our production expertise.
2019: Bridging Past & Present
In 2019, Silasmith Bangkok marked our return to roots, introducing a new chapter to our fellow Thais. This homecoming intertwined our global journey with our Thai roots. From 2019-2023, we narrowed our focus on the local market, continuing to innovate with made-to-order pewter designs and decor. This unshaken resolve echoes our enduring commitment to craftsmanship and artistry.
